BRUCE KUWABARA & SOL WASSERMUHL
PROUD RECIPIENTS OF THE PUG CUP

The Pug Cup is an initiative that honours design excellence in architecture.

Toronto Mayor David Miller has given the green light to house the Pug Trophy in City Hall in an enclosed showcase. The trophy display in City Hall will act as a reminder to developers, architects and building officials that the people of Toronto care about the architectural landscape of their city.

The trophy has been custom designed and crafted from brushed aluminum to resemble an architectural structure. The 3D Pug statuette on the top of the trophy has been engraved in aluminum and stands at 15 cm (6”) tall. The trophy itself stands at 89.5 cm (35") in height, 25.4 cm (10") in width and weighs 23.5 kg (52 lbs.).

Each year the winning buildings in both the residential and commercial/institutional category will be engraved on the trophy for posterity. Furthermore the winners will receive an individual plaque to commemorate their achievement.
