About the Project

The Luxe Condominiums consists of two towers (24 and 22 storeys) sitting on a 3 storey podium facing Yonge Street on the site located just north of Finch Ave. The buildings consist of 388 apartments units and 3 levels of underground parking and common amenity spaces. Amenity areas are located on the ground floor podium level on both sides of the building. The building has been located in close proximity to Yonge Street in order to provide an entry court at the rear of the site complete with a Landscaped Courtyard. As part of the programmatic requirements the Landscape Courtyard is also accessible to the residences of the existing condominium at 5795 Yonge Street in order to provide a pedestrian access through the site to Yonge Street. The entry lobby connects Yonge Street to the entry courtyard in the rear of the building and is accessible from both sides. Along Yonge Street the building’s continuous glass and metal canopy and public art component in the landscaped planters animate the pedestrian sidewalk while providing a transition between the towers and the podium. The two towers step back from Yonge Street at the penthouse levels on the top two floors. Massing in the towers has been defined using glass punctuated by solid frames that run the height of the building. The mechanical penthouse facing Yonge Street is topped with an architectural metal trellis to reinforce the building’s modern appearance.
