About the Project

West Harbour City is a large-scale, multi-phase master plan for a new residential community located south of Toronto’s historic Fort York. The traditionalist, elegant building design echoes the romantic era of New York skyscrapers from the 1930s. The first phase is a condominium complex comprising residential units in a group of buildings stepping down from a tower to a podium building and rows of townhouses. Live/work units, generous amenity areas and retail space at street level complete this development. The second phase similarly comprises residential units in a group of buildings stepping down from a tower to a podium and rows of townhouses. A recreational club on the top floor of the podium features a gym, pool and a lounge area that looks out over the city and the lake through floor to ceiling windows. The third phase of West Harbour City is located south of historic Fort York and north of West Harbour City Phase 1. Quadrangle’s design for Phase 3 incorporates a continuation of design features, including a large exterior landscaped courtyard and stepping terraces facing south providing views to the lake and the park. Stepped massing frames the sloping sky street creating the sense of a smaller scale residential development. The building also features elegant precast piers and panels, modern low-E glazing and the incorporation of public art elements. Structural Engineers: Stephenson Engineering Ltd.
