Aria Condominiums is situated at Leslie & Sheppard and consists of 2 buildings ranging from 9 to 18 storeys with a central link. The site is on the border of a very busy urban thoroughfare on one side and a ravine on the other. To address this condition buildings are sited to form a central courtyard facing the ravine along the eastern edge of the site while providing a continuous street facade to the west. The development takes advantage of the sloping site by locating the residential amenity on the level below the central arrival court, providing expansive ravine views far removed from the overall urban character of the site. The heights of the buildings where carefully studied to integrate into the existing context.
