The Avenue is a 20 storey luxury condominium in the Forest Hill neighbourhood of Toronto. There are 73 suites in the building. The building is built of traditional materials in a contemporary way. The lower two floors are clad in Indiana limestone while the upper floors are clad in red clay brick piers alternating with large windows. At the ground floor there is a public covered colonnade along the sidewalk, an expansive limestone and granite motorcourt leading to a terraced garden behind. The building has a podium which scales down from 6 to 4 stories towards the existing buildings to the west, while the tower occupies the intersection of St. Clair and Avenue Roads. The tower floors each have 4 or fewer suites served directly by private elevators. The upper stories of the building step back from the street with large terraces edged by planters. The suites are generously sized and proportioned. Page + Steele IBI collaborated with Gluckstein Design for the amenity areas which include a lobby, lounge, private dining room, club room, living room and catering kitchen on the ground floor as well as a pool, whirlpool, gym, treatment, yoga and aerobics rooms, steam rooms, change rooms and a terrace on the second floor.
