Located a block from the Civic Centre precinct, Scarborough Town Centre, and the TTC’s RT line, the Centro residential development is a bold and contemporary design consisting of two 31-storey towers and a 2-storey loft-style townhouse podium that integrates into its emerging urban fabric. At grade level, the townhouse massing, double row of street trees, and a major landscape feature with artwork on the corner block all provide for a human-scale pedestrian environment. The design consists of two levels of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces with three intimate gathering pods, above the townhouse podium, linking both towers together and overlooks the newly re-naturalized city-owned woodlot. Bold and colourful amenity furniture animate this outdoor space while complimenting the earth tones of the vertical fin elements of the towers.
