NXT embodies aA’s design philosophy, and its commitment to creating beautiful buildings and urban spaces. In the tradition of the modernist ‘tower in the park’, two slim transparent buildings rise above a landscaped public green space, where High Park faces Lake Ontario. A formal entryway leads through a verge of trees to a sheltered and welcoming courtyard. Above, NXT’s wide residential suites are flooded with light and boast panoramic views of the city skyline and the water. Rhythmic bands of continuous balconies punctuate the tower façades, and give residents private outdoor space. With NXT, aA has created an architectural landmark – a new western gateway into the heart of Toronto.
