The dramatic waterfront and park site is the inspiration for the design of a contemporary residential courtyard building. The site is highly unique because of its direct connection to the waterfront and also because it faces two waterfront parks, which are connected by the Martin Goodman trail. Units have a choice of views of the lake, the city skyline and the parks. In addition to these views, a central landscaped courtyard anchors the development. This private landscaped area is for the enjoyment of the residents on a daily basis; views of it are framed from the entrance in the main lobby, and from shared corridors and common spaces within the building.
The podium and tower are read as distinct urban and architectural elements. The tower anchors Coronation Park to the west, while the podium completes the north edge of the park to the south and frames the view of the marina from Queens Quay, as well as creating an elegant streetscape on Stadium Road. The podium elevations have a slightly playful syncopated pattern of balconies. Two-storey townhouses create a residential scale along the road and the park, and have direct outdoor access and private gardens.
