About the Project

Acclaim is a seven-storey, 63-suite residential condominium project located on the south side of Sheppard Avenue, just west of Bathurst Street, near the Downsview TTC subway station. To the south sits a residential neighbourhood built in the 1960’s. Rezoned in 2004, this project follows the City of Toronto’s emerging midrise urban design policies, put in place to help preserve existing residential properties. With thirteen south-facing units, the seven-storeys on the street-side terrace down to three-storeys at the rear, and adhere to the prescribed 45° vertical angular plane from the existing residential neighbourhood. The ground floor hosts street-facing commercial space. A one-way loop route into the property provides entry drop-off, access to the underground parking ramp and a lay-by for truck servicing, as well as side yards that allow for suite windows. Acclaim is a street edge, mid-rise building that was designed to respect and compliment the existing neighbourhood.
