LTD is a 15-storey boutique building on Bruyeres Mews, envisioned as a new, intimately scaled street. The building features a simple masonry frame at the base to establish the scale of the new street, and to recall its recent industrial past, with a clean window wall profile above. Individual live/work maisonettes line the street to ensure an intimate mews scale and character.
A small retail plaza has been provided abutting Bathurst, providing much needed community retail services. Amenity areas are provided at grade and on a large seventh floor roof terrace featuring an outdoor movie theatre, lounge seating and extensive planting. The building has been carefully articulated to maintain clear views from Fort York and respect proposed future development in the area. The building came under a great deal of scrutiny through the design review process and was complimented by the Design Review Panel for its sensitive articulation of massing and resolution of conflicting site constraints.
