Jointly designed by KPF Architects and IBI Page+Steele, Parade at Concord CityPlace encompasses two residential towers–38 and 43 storeys–on a 10-storey podium, encompassing an entire block occupying the front of a large park that forms the foreground to development from the Gardiner Expressway. Shorter 18-storey buildings complete the composition and are placed diagonally opposite each of the towers.
The buildings are expressed as pure forms, one being square and the other round. The tower facades are a composition of balconies arranged in a random vertical pattern while the podium facades are expressed in a random composition of ribbed precast spandrel panels of varying height. The base of the podia contain retail uses, the residential entrance lobbies and townhouses, articulated by a series of louvered screens and canopies creating visual interest, scale and texture at street level.
